The RTRA is pleased to announce the official launch of the Friends of Pinjar, a group of trained registered volunteers (16 years+) working together with the RTRA and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) to look after the Pinjar Off-road vehicle area. We are actively seeking individuals to join up!
As a volunteer with the Friends of Pinjar you would be the eyes and ears, arms and legs helping to monitor and maintain Pinjar as a safe and great place to ride.
Our Pinjar volunteers ride the trails to identify, fix or report hazards such as missing signage, downed trees or trail sections in need of maintenance. You would also meet and greet riders, helping them to understand the area’s layout, describe the trails to allow riders to decide the best trails to ride for their experience, acceptable behaviour and how to get the most out of their visit. The friends of Pinjar will also work with DBCA to arrange maintenance days to keep the trails in good condition.
We are having a launch event at Pinjar on Sunday May 27 from 10am-12pm to provide more information and sign up people who want to volunteer. Come and join other dedicated Pinjar riders who want to make a contribution to keeping Pinjar safe and enjoyable.
So, if you have some spare time and want to put your skills, energy and passion to work, send us your Registration of Interest herehttp://rtra.asn.au/what/volunteer
Thanks to the support of the City of Wanneroo and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
