Held over the Western Australian Labour Day long weekend each year the Karri Cup Mountain Bike Challenge starts and finishes in the town of Northcliffe, 360 km south of Perth.
Surrounded by Karri, Marri and Jarrah forests and with the magnificent cliffs of the southern coastline only twenty minutes away, Northcliffe provides abundant opportunities to sample the natural wonders of WA’s south west.
The course is of 100 kilometres, in 25 kilometre stages and winds through scenic forest trails. Riders may choose the 100 kilometre endurance challenge or the equally challenging, but no less scenic 50 kilometre ride. The event caters for riders of all levels of experience and ability, with categories for both solo and team riders.
On the Saturday, visitors’ children can join with the local kids in the fun of the Karri Kids race around the purpose built Federation Track. A weekend for families and friends, majestic forest trails and non-stop-action cycling set amongst the natural beauty of the South West.
