How does a fire effect your trail.

having ridden at the Pile rd trails for the last 22+ years and seen it get burnt by a prescribed burn about every 7 years, I would have to say that I have seen my  fair share of my favourite trails been burnt, re-built, maintained, and continual use of passionate trail riders.

Yes this is a mountainbike specific thread.

The 1st thing you notice is that the place is on fire.

Lets not ride there for about 2 weeks.

Trees are still burning, roots are still burning, the potential for fallen trees at a moments noictice is huge.  I would say to just stay out for about 3-4 weeks, before it all settles down.

Now at about the 4-6 week mark, all the burnt shrubbery style bush(we call it the "water bush"  startd to lean into the trail. making it doubly hard to ride.
