Hello,

I was just wondering if anybody knows of any day trails near Perth?

I have been reading about the Kalbarri area recently,  but that will have to wait for a bit, so I wanted to just check out anything nearby first.

Thanks for any info/tips.

Kind regards, Terry.

Hi Terry,

Eagles's View in John Forrest National Park and Ghost House walk in Yanchep National Park are a couple that come to mind.  You'll find more info about both on the toptrails website.  If you search on the Map tab you can look at just the Perth region - then un-select bike trails etc to find just bushwalking trails.

Cheers, Linda

Thanks for the info Linda, i'll get busy and have alook.

Cheers, Terry.

Hi Terry,

A useful site for bushwalking trails is WalkGPS...

http://www.walkgps.com/index.htm

There are a few trails to follow in Jumbuck Hill Park at Bell's Rapids that are quite fun!

Bold Park in Floreat, has over 15 kilometres of walk trails, a 7 kilometre bridle trail and 10 lookouts with expansive views over the city and the coast.

Download the trails map here, or get more information regarding the Reabold Hill Summit Boardwalk on the top trails website.

Hi Terry,

Just read your post and I strongly recommend Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary, run by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy.  They have three walks of differnt lengths and difficulty.  I did the Numbat walk last spring with friends and it was incredible!  Great scenery and amazing wildflowers.  I'd recommend spring for flowers or winter when there's some water in the streams and everything's nice and fresh.  They don't open over summer because of the threat of bushfires so wont be open again 1st May.  You have to book and pay about $5 per person - worth it.  Check out http://www.australianwildlife.org/AWC-Sanctuaries/Paruna-Sanctuary/... for some more info.

Cheers, I hope you find some great walks to do around Perth.
