Hi Trail builders

We have had some great news today.

Clinton from DEC has been out on the trail this morning (in the steaming humidity)  sign posting the Kalamunda Circuit Mountain Bike Trail.

We now have 12 kilometres of sign posted sweet single track.

The Kalamunda Circuit Mountain Bike Trail now runs from Mundaring Weir Road (between Bahen Rd and Paulls Valley Road) to within about 1 kilometre of the Dell.

DEC have also been busy building a new parking area on Mundaring Weir Road. (between Bahen Rd and Paulls Valley Road) This is where the trail crosses Mundaring Weir Road and it
should help alleviate some of the overcrowding at the Dell and other parking
bays.

Getting to the trail. (map attached, all hi lighted

sections are now sign posted)

Mundaring Weir Road/Dell

From the Dell following the old Kalamunda Circuit and/or Little Oven Circuit signs north, down under the powerlines (keep to the left) and before you cross the creek you will see the
yellow sign post, cross the creek and follow the fire road and the trail goes
to the right off the fire road. Follow the signs and you will eventually get to
the Calamunnda Camel Farm then continue onto the new car park on Mundaring Weir
Road.

Mundaring Weir Road/New Car Park (between Bahen Rd and Paulls Valley Road)

Pretty simple follow the signs posts across the road heading north to ride to the Calamunnda Camel Farm and on to the Dell.

Calamunnda Camel Farm

On Paulls Valley Road you can park at the Camel farm, ride east to the Dell or West to the new car park.

Thank you to the following supporters of the Kalamunda Circuit Mountain Bike Trail.

Karnet Prison work crew.

Without their hard work we would probably only have 6 kilometres of trail. A really big thank you to the officers and prisoners for helping us to build the trail.

Department of Environment and Conservation

Thanks to Jamie Ridley and Clinton Hull for their efforts in getting the trail on the ground. With their limited resources they always make time to support us in our endeavours.

Department of Sport and Recreation

DSR is a huge supporter of Mountain biking and the building of trails in Western Australia.

Lotterywest

Lotterywest provide funding to build trails so there support is very important.

Trail Builders

You know who you are. Thanks for your efforts, whether you have helped once or many times it is much appreciated and we have enjoyed meeting you all and look forward to meeting you
again on the trail.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and hard work and to wish you all a Merry Christmas and fantastic New Year.

Cheers
