At the end of a hard day's trek I always end up with wet socks as a consequence of my feet sweating. In summer it's no problem to only take a few pairs of socks as I can dry them out overnight. Unfortunately hanging socks out to dry in winter can often make it worse and I find myself carrying more spare pairs of socks than what I would like to.
Does anyone have any tips on how to best manage this?

hi Chris, you have my sympathies! Might sound a bit boring but I'll bet you don't just have sweaty feet but the sort of physical constitution that just happens to sweat more than others... believe it or not you may have luck with Trad Chinese medicine treatments, herbs and/ or accupuncture. I don't know of any 'mechanical' fix, though. good luck :-)
Bi-carb soda inside your shoes usually helps absorb moisture (and odours). Might help?
