The newly-constructed suspension bridge at One Tree Bridge in Manjimup was officially opened on 14 November 2015.
The bridge was a joint effort between the Shire of Manjimup and the Department of Parks and Recreation, with some funding also coming from Lotterywest.
Special guests included Regional Development Minister Terry Redman and South West MLC Nigel Hallett.
Before he helped officially open the bridge, Mr Redman congratulated everyone involved in the construction of the bridge.
"This area has a rich history and we are here today at this official opening of this facility that keeps that link going," he said.
The suspension bridge creates a safer alternative for walkers and cyclists to cross the Donnelly River at One Tree Bridge to access the Bibbulmun Track and the Munda Biddi Trail.
The $165,000 project was one of many good, solid infrastructure projects in the Lower South West.
