All mountain bike single track should or will become oneway trails.
With the increase in traffic on mountain bike singletracks its inevitable that it will all become oneway traffic due to the increase of riders. Having a dual direction singletrack leads to conflict of riders which spoils the fun factor when stopping to pass.
The safety factor is also a high concern with the potential for head on collisions. Also you can design Technical Trail Features (TTFs) that are designed to be ridden one way to maximise the fun factor.
The Trails at Pile Rd are designed as a one way trail system which works well and keeps the trails flowing on busy days.
I know that any dual direction trails at other locations will eventually become one way in the future. The old days of dual direction are over.
