Hi everyone,

I was wondering does anyone have any good tips for where to stay in Albany? It needs to be;

a. Near the track

b. Near Visitors Ctr

c. Near a pub ha ha ha for a good meal of course

d. Sleep 2

e. Not too expensive but not too cheap either (want some comforts after a two week walk)

Thanks

Hi Karen,

I think the harbourside motel might fit the bill,

Hi Karen,

one we use sometimes when we stay in Albany and don't want to load in on our daughter is "My Place", give them a call 98423242. A small B & B (without meals) style place in Grey Street East. Not sure if it has twin as opposed to double. Certainly central at around 300m from track terminus and visitor centre ( both at old station). 150m from "The Earl of Spencer" historic Inn on the corner of Earl and Spencer Streets believe it or not, that serves a variety of beers, English, Irish, Scotish, Aussie etc and wines spirits etc and great meals unless the chef has changed recently. 150m from York Street which is of course the central hub (please God don't strike me down for being unkind).

cheers
Alex
That sounds very nice.

Hi Karen
I stayed at Norman House a couple of years ago. They meet all your criteria, have comfy beds with electric blankets and do a great cooked breakfast.
