Hi Trail Builders
Trail Building 8am this Sunday the 25th of September.
We are meeting at the Dell. Look for the gravel driveway 100 metres west/towards Kalamunda from the Dell car park entrance. Look for the sign.
We will be working on a new section of trail called The Lancaster. We will be building jumps and or berms to get this section of trail ready to ride.
Don’t forget gloves, solid shoes, hat, water and food.
Please advise us on kctrailbuilder@iinet.net.au if you are coming along so we can plan the day’s work.
Next trail building day. Sunday the 9th of October.
IMBA-Australia trail maintenance workshops
The Western Australian Mountain Bike Association and The International Mountain Bike Association-Australia in conjunction with The Department of Environment and Conservation and The Department of Sport and Recreation are holding a Trail Maintenance Workshop.
Nick Bowman from IMBA Australia will be visiting WA in Oct/Nov. As part of his visit he will be conducting two workshops on trail maintenance on the Kalamunda Circuit.
The workshops will be on the 29th and 30th of October. They run all day (exact details to follow) and will include a couple of hours of theory, practical work on the trails and lunch. There will be no fee to attend the workshop.
If you are interested in attending it is essential that you reserve a spot by sending an email to kctrailbuilder@iinet.net.au
Please nominate your preferred day.
We urge you to come along to these informative workshops to build you trail building skills.
All trails need maintenance and the more people with the skills to maintain the trails we ride the better.
We hope to meet you on the trail.
Cheers
Murray
