Manjimup to become a premiere trailbike riding destination.

Manjimup is shaping up to become the premiere trailbike riding destination in Australia. A feasibility report carried out in 2017 yielded positive outcomes, with 95% of the 2,272 participants saying they would visit Manjimup if the Trail hub concept went ahead.

The report identified many areas in and around Manjimup where trailheads and trails could feasibly be developed. This included information bays, signage, trail marking, interpretive sites, picnic facilities, toilets and water.

The concept plan identifies 5 potential ‘precincts’ so far, including Yardup, Lindsay, Yeticup, Sutton and Graphite Block(s). The concept plan outlines a fairly large area of land as trailbike riders typically require longer tracks than walkers or hikers.

Manjimup could also be one of the few Trails Towns in WA, and one of the very few trailbike trail towns in the whole country. The KTM 6 day Adventure Rally has brought a lot of attention to the area recently, and progressed the status of the town to national level.

More recently the Shire of Manjimup have allocated funding for the next stage of development of over $150k.
