Janet Cameron said… - Hi Angie, We did not hire bikes as were staying with friends and they borrowed bikes for us and srranged everthing. It was only an easy short ride (18km or so). Possibly you sound like you would be up for something a bit more challenging! However there are people on bikes everywhere in NZ. Mountain Biking seems to be done by everyone and there are wonderful tracks everywhere you go. I feel sure you would very easliy find somewhere to hire bikes by checking the internet or ask you travel agent.
I know you will have a great time as it is such a beautiful country and with the $ as it is, not expensive for Ausies.
