Well its been a while since I have been able to contribute to the local trail community in Perth but be sure I have been lurking in the background looking for something different all the same. Working my ass off to support the new addition to the family has left me with little time, yet in my spare time I have been putting some thought into a service for the the gravity community within the Goatfarm mountain bike park. It sounds like you will have a complete blank canvas to work with to build new trails.
It may be between 6-18 months before you can do anything serious in there.

Vegetation around the Goatfarm Mountain bike trail network
Hmmm, I have come to wonder over the last couple of years why little or no work has been done to restore the natural vegetation on the "Goatfarm" side of John forest national park.
Many years ago a fire ripped through what was first agricultural land and decimated a lot of the flora that had chosen to reside there, leaving this area quite an eye sore. The hill has soon managed to pick up quite a few nick names, most of which I need not repeat.

Forsythe Mills MTB loop
Today I went just out past the Lake Leschenaultia turn off on Great Eastern Hiway after work for a few laps around a quiet little MTB trail called Forsythe mills. This site was special to some of us "AllMountain" riders as it was the first site in WA to have legitimate man made trail features installed in it. When I say man made I do mean of steal and timber, cemented into the ground. Funny enough the feature was named "LEGIT".

Murray Valley, Dwellingup trails
Recently I have been working with a friend of mine who for 3 years has been busting a gut to complete a personal endevor of his, the "Southshore" trail. He has just recently completed the trail works and is waiting on DEC to finish their part of the bargen. During my spare time I have been pottering around on the other side of the creek on a illegal trail known as the Murray valley log step down track.
