I have been a bit slow to report in as I was waiting for my friend to send me a photo from the day but so far it hasnt turned up! Huh - some friend!

Anyway, 18 people gave up a Sunday morning on the 7th March 2010 to clean up our local wetlands - Bibra Lake.

In a positive way (but some also argue a negative) we filled out 25 or so bags of rubbish in about 90 mins! Great for the enviornment but a sad indictment on our community.

Great to see about…

My son is off next week on a school overnight hike BUT they have to carry everything and he's got to have food for two days and no cooking. Already thought about jerky and dried fruit, open to any and all ideas. Otherwise the poor kid, Mr 14, will starve......................

I have just finished Cape to Cape north to south.. 7 of us started on the 10th March 2010 and 3 finished on 16th March 2010.

What a walk, it was a challenge, lots of beach walks (some soft sand) up and down 4WD tracks and dunes there is a bit of everything. The first 2 days the weather was very very hot, so walking out in the open was a challenge all on its own. The good news was the water at the campsites was cold straight out of the tank, now that was something to look forward to.…
