Recreation and Trail Custodians with Sport Organisations?

Attended a breakfast discussion of 'stakeholders' in some recreation areas this week along with the Minister for Sport and Recreation.  One of the activities used words like 'high performance' in a rating scale and in an environment of trying to bring sports groups and recreation/trails epople together to form 'Recreation Custodians' and the like.  Perhaps 'challenge' and 'experience' might have been better options but the intent was good and some good people in the discussion.  A key…

Magnetic Island Walk Trails

I recently holidayed on Magnetic Island off the coast from Townsville in QLD. A network of walking tracks are a great way to enjoy some amazing scenery and appreciate the diversity of vegetation from one side of the island to the other. Boorara MTB Track Northcliffe

The Boorara Conservation Park MTB Track has been cleared of winter fall and the single track winds through magnificent karri forest thick understory vegitation and along existing fire breaks, all a considerable challenge to negotiate. Come on down to Northcliffe for a fun spring week end.
