There is a bush-walker missing from Aldridge Cove in Nuyts Wilderness near Walpole. The Gentleman's name is Rowan Cook aged 40. If you have not seen any news media reports on this matter  there are articles in the Walpole Weekly  of 27/11/13 or Albany Advertiser 26/11/2013 that should be available online. If you have seen or spoken with this person in the past 3 months on the trail or elsewhere please contact Crime Stoppers  1800333000.

I have been involved in the search for Rowan from a Marine Rescue perspective and local knowledge advice to Police.

Whilst walking into Thompson and Aldridge Coves on may occasions I have never had the opportunity to visit the cave/s. I wonder if there is anyone on this forum that has visited the cave/s could they provide me with a brief description of their internal size and depth. If you don't want to share it on the blog just post that you have information and I will provide you with my email address.

Late last year the coroner bought down a finding that Rowan had most likely fallen into the Southern Ocean and drowned. There have been no further signs to indicate what may have happened.

A year on and Rowan was never found.

Good morning Linda,

no Rowan has not been located. The search is now suspended and Rowan is nowl isted as a "missing person". Lots of opinions on what may have happened but the assumption is he probably came to grief.
