After YEARS of promising myself a Coral Coast Top Trails adventure for Easter we are finally on our way.
Today is Day 1 and we arrived safely last night in Kalbarri despite bringing rain with us!!! We are off to walk through the wonders of the amazing gorges with the Loop Walk featuring the photo perfect Nature's Window on our way through to the highway to continue heading North to Shark Bay.
Had such an awesome morning in the new kayaks paddling around Molloy Island on the Blackwood and Scott Rivers.
The new boats are getting a great work out - but not 2uite as much as my poor old arms!
Can't wait for the next paddle...
Glad you like the pics and vids, the platypus was taken at a place called Possum Valley Cottages near Ravenshoe in North Queensland. This place is an absolute paradise for nature lovers, we went there in August last year and it was by far the highlight of our trip, a must do for anyone up that way. The website is www.bnbnq.com.au/possumvalley
Over the last 2/3 weeks I have been putting everything together to set off on the Bibbulmun to do "end to end". Spending a fair bit of time at my local pool walking and swimming getting the body right and a few walks from Kalamunda to Hewitts and back. Will be heading off from Kalamunda early next week and expect to be on track till late Janruary, around 58 odd days.
Will be keeping a daily diary and taking many photo's along the way so I'm sure I'll have plenty to post and write about on my return.
No I'm not sure how it all works, and haven't got time to have a look now, but I'm sure the kids will enlighten me as they spend their whole life on sites like this!! Must try and all catch up soon.
